There is an article and poll below here that is representative of what I think is a delusional gap between Democrat’s perceptions and the real political “Authoritas” in America. To anyone who reads this article and the poll objectively it is, I feel, a head thumping and disheartening snapshot of what is really happening in this election.
In one question only 45% of Democrats state that they are voting FOR their candidate as opposed to just voting against the Republican. If I was one of those very generous celebrities who are top-funding the heavy dollar war chest of the left and I read this poll I would be throwing the fucking furniture in the DNC headquarters this week.
I think Obama was one of the great American presidents. The Democratic party is complicit in allowing every single aspect of his Presidency to have been destroyed or erased in less than two years. The GOP disgustingly wiped him from history, they are guilty of that. But the Democrats remain too weak to stop them and that is our problem to address. I am sickened by what I see as strategically lazy willingness on the left to refuse to accept the electoral reality of where we are, how we got here and how we might possibly, ever, fight back and regain any power.
The Russians rat-fucked us. — Yes but we allowed it. The gerrymandering manipulated us. - Yes but we allowed it. Citizens are being kept from voting. - Yes but we allow it. They are bullys and cheaters. - Yes, but we allow it.
The trying has to stop and the doing has to begin.
A massive re-framing of what the Democratic party is and who defines it or, barring that, a surrender into irrelevance and the deliberate emergence a new moderate American movement is called for. Anything less and we are all sunk, left and right divided, in my opinion.
The truth is a battered bastard and so am I.
Obviously I am not in any way an influencer or investor in the grandly arbitrated power in this world. I get gruff for appearing disloyal and misguided or, worse, sowing discord. The truth is I am pretty honest about who and what I am -a moderate voter looking for hope and seeing none. The best outcome for everyone is that it I turns out I was the delusional or inaccurate analyst about how this ends and everyone else was right.
Jesus Fucking Christ I hope it goes that way.
